Its not quite as easy as it may seem. A true / straight wheel doesn’t always mean its been built well, all the parts of a wheel are a team and if a part of the team isn’t pulling its weight the lifespan of a wheel is greatly reduced.
Every rotation is loading and unloading your spokes and eventually fatigue will kick in. A well built, evenly balanced wheel will travel millions of revolutions before its time is up but uneven or improper spoke tension will accelerate fatigue and your be busting spokes and rims before you know it.
